REMOVABLE PARTIAL DENTURES

Removable partial denture is used in case of partial loss of teeth, when there are one or more teeth in the mouth, that will act as an abutment. INDICATIONS AND CONTRA INDICATIONS FOR DENTURES

The removable partial denture in partial loss of teeth is recommended in case of:

  • Loss of teeth on one jaw;
  • Problems of chewing due to missing teeth;
  • Inability to use dental implants for variety of reasons;
  • Risk of allergic reaction to metal frames;
  • Necessity of temporary denture.

Installation of the removable partial denture is impossible in case of:

  • Allergic reaction to plastic composite;
  • Inflammation and diseases of gums;
  • Complex cavity of existing teeth;
  • Mental disorders;
  • Epileptic syndrome;

COMPLETE DENTURES

A complete denture is used for function recovery of any dental arch. The denture is fixed by suction.

MATERIALS

Removable dentures are fixed by suction force. Special glue is used in particular cases. An acrylic complete denture may also be fixed to implants. To get used to such complete dentures, a person must adhere to the following rules: try to control articulation and pronounce words as clear as possible; at first eat softer meals in small bites, gradually increasing the load. The psychological aspect of adaptation is also critical. Support of close people and positive thinking will also help you.

CARE AND HYGIENIC TREATMENT

You should remove the denture and rinse it with water after each meal. Thoroughly clean the surface below the denture and the denture with brush and paste in the morning and in the evening. Once a day, you should put the denture into a bath with special fluid for 10-15 minutes; once a week, denture should be placed in a denture bath with a deep cleaning solution.
